Tornado: American Red Cross App Reviews

I just received an alert inviting me to donate blood. Unless there is a critical emergency and we are short on blood, I dont consider this a worthy use of alerts. I will uninstall the application for being distracting.

Good app but how do you delete old alerts? I tried to send feedback and got a message of 404 error. Anyone out there who can answer?

Be sure to set a conservative distance from location, Because this app works way to well. It alerts first of all my alerts to tell me about severe weather, including tornado. The only reason I give it 4 stars is because is takes up 2.4 GB on my phone. I have reported it and have not heard back about why.

Well, when the alerts you downloaded the app for continually "fail to load" it really doesnt do you much good. Had tornado conditions and had to rely on Facebook postings to get information since this crappy app could not produce anything newsworthy.

It was easier before the update. It is difficult to change the radius. I found out it was set to 1 mile and the slightest touch set it to 27 miles or something. How can I easily set to 5 or 10 miles?

Not much luck with setup. It cant find location, wont save contacts added, not very useful.

Love it. But recently keep getting message can not load alerts check your internet connection. Yet I have strong 4g signal. Tried wifi. Tried different days. Nothing.

Very good app. Must have for safety when hazardous conditions occur in your area.

One of the only reviews that Ive ever written. A great, helpful app for those scared of a possible tornado and dont know what to do.

Very cool app, great one to have. BUT... With an app size of less than 50mb, why would it need to store over 10 gig worth of data on my phone??? Really a space hog!!!

Normally I really love this app. But last night when there was a real emergency tornado possibly coming through my area it did not work at all. that was very scary. I use the radar make to make sure we are in the clear or if there is a warning and last night it completely failed.

Please darken the text in this app. The counties and alerts are hard to read/ see.., way too light.

Definitely worth it

Easy to setup. Warns us 1st for tornadoes. You can set the mileage for any area you want monitored & for exactly what events you desire for alerts. Multiple areas may be monitored. We really appreciate having this app because we live in a remote area & can pinpoint the area & mileage surrounding us we want monitored. Sound Alerts: Great, specifically for the radius you set. No preset Alerts, Notifications, etc. All within your control.

Alerts no longer work. None at all! This used to be a great severe weather alerts app! Needs an update asap! Was a 5 star app. SMH

I used to like this app, however it just stopped working. No response from Red Cross to my emails.

Tells me of a tornado warning near Waco but fails to load info.

Pressing alerts makes a never ending popup come on screen. Wont load.
